SHELF LIFE STRING BAND ANNOUNCES SUMMER TOUR

IN SUPPORT OF THEIR RECENT RELEASE “ANOTHER EVENING AND OTHER TALES” WITH STOPS IN JOHNSTOWN, SOMERSET AND WILLIAMSPORT THIS AUGUST

PITTSBURGH, PA — Steel City-based Shelf Life String Band brings their untraditional, high-energy
bluegrass sound east in support of their new LP, Another Evening and Other Tales. Since its release
this spring, the album has been earning praise from the press and receiving regular airplay on both
commercial and listener-supported radio in the Pittsburgh region.

The Five-piece is confirmed to play in Johnstown, PA, at the Art Works Ethnic Arts Center on August 15;
in Somerset, PA, at the Laurel Hill Bluegrass Festival on August 16; and in Williamsport, PA, at Bullfrog
Brewery on August 17. A current itinerary is below.

Another Evening and Other Tales was written by Joe Dep and Derek Dysart and engineered/mastered
by Nate Campisi (Harlan Twins). The title track, “Another Evening,” kicks off the debut full-length with a
high-energy spirit and lyrics that depict an eager entertainer with an “anything goes” attitude that drives
through the entire album. In tandem with the release, Brandon McCarthy of Rock Bottom Brewery in
Homestead debuted a beer named after the band — Shelf Life India Pale Lager.

Since forming in 2011, the quintet has shared the stage with Greensky Bluegrass, Cornmeal, Pokey
LaFarge, Mac Martin, Gangstagrass, Cabinet, The Felice Brothers, and more. They also had the honor
of performing for Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto?s campaign events throughout his election run and were
featured during his inauguration party at the Senator John Heinz History Center. The group hosts a
weekly bluegrass jam, performing for capacity crowds, in Pittsburgh?s historic Deutschtown
neighborhood each Wednesday.
